Fallout Who Vegas Wiki

Earth Defender is a radiant quest added by Fallout Who Vegas, which sees the player defend Earth from alien races seeking to destroy it.

Overview[]

The player will be told of an alien attack at one of five possible locations across the Mojave. On arriving at this location, it will be under attack from one of several possible alien races. The player must kill all the attacking aliens, then fly the TARDIS to the alien base to free prisoners and destroy the base. Unlike other quests in Fallout Who Vegas, this quest is radiant and repeatable, meaning that the player may end up fending off several invasions throughout their game.

Walkthrough[]

  1. Help Defend [Location]: The player will receive a distress call on the TARDIS communicator about an alien invasion at one of five locations. The player must travel to that location and defeat all alien invaders. The possible locations are:
    • Goodsprings
    • Primm
    • North Vegas Square
    • Nellis AFB
    • Novac

The possible invading aliens are:

  1. Destroy the Invaders' Base!: After defeating all invaders on Earth, the player will have the invaders' Stronghold location added to the TARDIS NavCom. This destination will expire after 24 hours so if the player does not travel to the base within that time they will fail this objective, gain infamy for the location of the invasion, and lose karma. After travelling to the invaders' base, the player will have two (unmarked) objectives - to free any prisoners captured by the invaders, and to destroy their base. Upon setting their base to be destroyed, the player has sixty seconds to return to the TARDIS and leave. This is done differently in every base so a specific instruction for each is below:
    • The Dalek Saucer: The saucer consists of several rooms surrounding a central engine room. The prisoners are kept in one or more of the rooms around the edges. Upon being freed they will head to the transmat pads in a different room. When they reach the pads, the player must activate the transmat system to send them home. To destroy the base, the player must activate all four engine controls in the central engine room to set the saucer to self-destruct.
    • The Cyber Station: The station consists of several rooms in a line with a central engine room. The doors to the engine room are initially locked, however the player can get the key from a cyber computer nearby. The player must reach the other end of the station and access the correct cyber control in the front control room to receive the key to the cyber conversion rooms. Once they have the key, the player can free any human prisoners from the cyber conversion pods and guide them to a drop ship in the hangar where the TARDIS lands. The player can then use the drop ship controls located on the gantry at the top of the stairs to send the ship safely back to Earth. To destroy the cyber station the player must activate all four controls in the central engine room, then set the propulsion system to overload using a computer in the room closest to the engine room on the hangar side.
    • The Auton Factory: The base appears to be a large abandoned plastic factory on Earth. After fighting past all Auton Duplicates, the prisoners can be found in a room at one side of the large central factory room. The prisoners need only run to a door near the TARDIS to exit the factory. Upon investigating the Nestine Consciousness, the player will be told that by placing Anti-Plastic in four processing units throughout the factory, the Consciousness can be destroyed. Each unit requires three Anti-Plastic to activate.
    • The Silurian Base: TBA.
  2. Keep Watching the Skies!: After the player escapes the base, they will receive fame and karma if they successfully freed all prisoners, and receive infamy and lose karma if they did not. After a while, the player will receive another call about an invasion and the quest will begin again.

Trivia[]

  • If the player does not wish to recieve this quest, they can disable the TARDIS Communications Systems. The invasion will only start after the player receives the call so this will not leave the people of the Mojave in any danger.
  • The Auton Factory is named "Delgado Plastics" after Roger Delgado, the first actor to play The Master.
  • Sometimes the player will arrive at a location and no invading enemies will spawn. Leaving and returning to the location will fix this.
